How much home time do Maverick marine drivers get?
Depending upon where you live, as a Maverick marine driver you could get home weekly or stay out 2-3 weeks at a time. Keep in mind that this is the trucking industry and things will come up. Family is important to Maverick, and this is of the highest priority. You can now earn your PTO monthly so you can use it in half day or full day increments.
What if I don't have marine experience?
We offer paid marine and paid flatbed business unit training. During training, we will teach you the proper securement techniques required of a marine driver. Our extended training program is also available to those without experience or to those who might need extra training.
How long is the training for the marine division?
If you have at least six months over-the-road in the last three years, you will complete 4 days of paid PRE (Pre-Employment Evaluation) and one week of paid Business Unit Training. If you have less than six months of over-the-road experience, you will need to complete Maverick's student program.
