How long is the CDL school and training?
Maverick's CDL Training Program will bring you to North Little Rock, AR for approximately 6 weeks. Prior to arriving, you will sign your tuition agreement. The first 4 weeks of the program will include 4 days of paid pre-employment evaluation and our sponsored CDL Training Program. Once you have obtained your CDL-A, we will extend a formal job offer and you will complete paid business unit training followed by a 5-day break. After your break, you will then complete paid OTR training with an experienced road instructor where you will test out and go solo.
What is provided during the school?
Travel, housing, breakfast, and lunch are provided. In addition, you will receive a prepaid card as part of your sponsorship to assist you with any additional expenses.
When does paid training begin?
Maverick's PRE (Pre-Employment Evaluation) and student training program pays $700 per week. This begins after obtaining your Class A CDL and accepting job offer.
What will it cost me?
Maverick’s CDL Training program consists of signing a tuition loan agreement of $8,000. This will cover your tuition, housing, meals, tablet, and additional equipment while in the program. When repaying Maverick for the loan, you will be responsible for paying $60 a week for 70 weeks. After this, you would have paid Maverick $4,200. Maverick will also forgive your debt at $40 per week for 70 weeks. At this point, you have paid in all you will be required to pay. Should your employment with Maverick end before you complete your contract, you will owe Maverick the remaining balance as well as an additional $1,000 in liquidated damages and any accrued interest.
How will I be trained for Flatbed after my CDL?
During training, we will teach you the proper securement techniques required of a flatbed driver.
After completion of Maverick Driving Academy and obtaining your Class A CDL, you will receive your job offer and begin your paid Business Unit Training in North Little Rock. You will then be paired with an instructor for the remaining training period for your trainer truck time.
