Don Myers

Maverick Transportation announced Don Myers of Springhill, LA, as their Driver of the Month for September 2014. Myers has been with Maverick for three years and started his professional driving career at Maverick in March of 2011. He came to Maverick as a student driver.

"Don takes his job very seriously and I truly believe he does his very best day in and day out," said Fleet Manager Morgan Forrest. "He is very active in helping other drivers, whether it be a phone call, in person, or on Facebook. He's extremely pro-Maverick and has told me many times that this is the best job he's ever had. I believe that working at Maverick is more than just a job to Don. Becoming a DOM is the next logical step for him and I believe he will do a wonderful job!"

The ninth recipient of twelve Drivers of the Month for 2014, Myers has proven himself a leader in the company's fleet. He's received the Maroon Marauder pin, has participated in the Special Olympics Convoy for two years, and also participated in the 2013 Truck Rodeo. His favorite part of driving for Maverick is the family atmosphere, pay and home time. He appreciates the way he's treated when he comes to Little Rock headquarters - just like family.
